Taco Olé

Stir mix into a pint of sour cream, chill, and start snacking. Wonderful topping for Mexican meals.

Use mix to season 1 lb. browned ground beef for traditional tacos. Or try this recipe:

Taco in a Bowl 

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup white rice, uncooked

1 package Secret Garden Taco Ole Dip mix

1 can diced mild green chiles

½ cup salsa

½ cup black beans

½ cup frozen corn

2 cups beef broth (or tomato juice)

1 cup shredded cheese

¼ cup cream

 

1.        Brown ground beef, breaking up into bits. Drain all but 1 T. fat.

2.        Add diced onion and garlic. Cook 2 to 3 minutes.

3.        Add rice and stir to toast.

4.        Mix in taco seasoning, chiles, salsa, black beans, corn and broth.

5.        Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

6.        Stir in cheese and cream.

7.        Serve in bowls, topped as desired with more cheese, sour cream, etc.
